What's the best blogging platform?

I've used all the blogging platforms--Wordpress, Ghost, Listed. I even self-hosted using Jekyll. After bouncing all over the place, I can confidently tell you that the absolute best blogging platform is the one you actually use.

While that may sound obvious, what I've found is I spent far too much time worrying about the platform--features, scalability, monetization, subscriptions, etc--and far too little time actually writing. The platform doesn't matter if you don't write. Just start writing.

And yes, I need to take my own advice. So, I've landed on Ghost. Not because it has all the bells and whistles--it doesn't. But that's exactly why I chose it.

The best way to blog is to get your thoughts out there with as little friction as possible. Worry about the rest later.
